Dr. Taylor McLendon, DVM Dr. Taylor McLendon, DVM

Dr. Taylor McLendon grew up in the Saint Augustine area and always knew she wanted to settle down in the area. From a young age, she spent everyday riding and almost every weekend competing in western performance events across the country.

Dr. McLendon received her veterinary degree from the University of Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated with high honors as Salutatorian of her class in May of 2019. She also served as president of her class for four years, president of the student chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA), was very active with the student chapter of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (SCAAEP) and completed her certificate in Veterinary Business Management!

Dr. McLendon has always had a passion for lameness and sports medicine and has emphasized this as the primary focus of her practice. She was mentored by the incredibly talented Dr. Peggy Fuller for 3.5 years before purchasing the practice in July 0f 2022.

When not in school or around horses, she enjoys spending time on the water, vacationing in Walt Disney World, and running marathons! More than anything else, Dr. McLendon enjoys spending time with her husband, Josh, her son, Grady, and is preparing to welcome a baby girl in March of 2023!

  • Adison
    Adison Murphy

Adison is the younger sister of Dr. McLendon and much like her sister, grew up riding and competing across the country. In addition to competing on a national level, she was also heavily involved in St. Johns County 4H and now serves as Club Leader for the county’s equine club. Adison received her degree from the University of Florida in Equine Science with a minor in Agricultural Business before continuing on to earn her Master’s in Business Management. She has always wanted to work on the business side of a veterinary practice and is happy to have the opportunity to do so with her sister. When not working, Adison enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her nephew, Grady. You can contact Adison for all your billing questions, paperwork requirements, or medication requests.
